So I'm mapping out my itinerary

Places i would like to visit. I have divided the area according to the MRT stops. Of coz, I am not limiting myself to simplying the MRT, I will walk, take a bus and for certain places, drive there. Anyway, if you know of any interesting places, or food, please recommend. If you would like to join my mini travel experience, feel free to call me, let's explore Singapore together.

Purpose of trip:

1. I have too much time. And I do not have enough tv/movies in my external harddrive to last this entire hol..I've watched all. Hahaha.
2. I need to exercise, walking can actually be very tiring.
3. I believe there are interesting places in Singapore. So much national pride, haha. I want to be more mobile and familiarise myself with different areas of Sgp.

Commitment:

I thought about what I should do during the hols, I know, I couldn't sleep because I was still thinking.

I'm going to travel around.... Singapore.

Here's the plan, I was thinking of visiting one area everyday. Say like.. the east? Do i hear clapping from the eastsiders?? Yes yes, I'm going to venture into another civilization. Oh that includes the north too. Anyway, I just want to explore and hopefully find something interesting and test out the slr.

Maybe i will alight at every MRT stop and just explore the area. I don't mind walking, of coz i will take the bus as well. Sounds like a plan to me, and a pain to others.. haha

While studying com 242-> Media effects research

So, i was studying the chapter on "Media that stir emotions", the part about conducting an experiment about the Incredible Hulk. Anyway, the purpose of the study was to find out what scares one child and not the other. The researcher used the the developmental theory by Jean Piaget. Her theory was that children aged 2-7 years old would be affected by concrete, visual appearances, while those 7 and above would be affected by conceptual or abstract thought.

So the experiment was based on watched the 1978's version of the "Incredible Hulk".

Anyway, the results of the study was that the older children showed more fright during the explosion and calmed down when the Hulk appeared. On the other hand, young children were calmer at the beginning and were more upset at the appearance of the Hulk.

So what is the purpose of me telling you all these? kevin said we should ask questions.. and here are my questions

1. Where does the Hulk get his secret stash of clothes?
2. Why hasn't he considered stretchable clothes? Isn't it more afforable than growing out of yout hugo boss suit each time.
3. Why green? That goes to Frankenstein too?

Oh, sorry, nobody said i had to ask questions related to the exam. HAHAHA

Anyway, my classmates and i laughed when we watched snippets of the video. Seriously, what would we do without CGI now??

OH my god

I've been trying to upload a 1 hr video online for my class. AND it's taking forever.

Let me begin...my complain.

After the talk on thurs, I came home and tried to upload the vid. And problems starts here.

1. We used a new disc, and the com cldn't read the new disc. OH my gosh, panic.. i thought i chose the wrong mode for formating the cd. Panic, called sony and asked them how to solve this problem. Because it was after office hours,I had to call different numbers.. each directing me to another hotline no. So solved tt, waited to transfer and encode the video from VRO. to mov.

2. Tried to cut the vid to less than 100mb.. cld't do it. Waited forever for the video to compress. Fell asleep

3. Woke up, Decided tt youtube was not the answer. Searched for other video uploader program. Tried VEOH, then decided on google vid. Yeah, unlimited time and size.

Friday

Downloaded google vid, uploaded vid. It was 1.3 GB, took about i think. 6 hours? I left the house at 5pm and it was 3%. Went out with jude, came home.. 1 vid done. Yeah

Sat

Uploaded the 2nd video. FAILED!! Went to recompress the VRO file into MPEG4. UPloaded it... waited for it to process. ONLy to realise i compressed the wrong file! Compressed the correct file and uploaded it, and waited for it to process.

Sun
It's 2am now... and the vid is finally uploaded. MY GODDD!!!!

I don't believe it. Abit irritated, coz somebody's car alarm is going off.. Seriously what is the point of car alarm when it all sounds the same?? We should be able to personalise the car alarm man. My song wld be...... i don't know.. maybe *oh oh.. oh oh ohhhhh... oh ohhh.. oh ohhhh*-> tune according to the mambo's one. Anybody knows what i'm talking abt

Com 125 project

Today's presentation was about Journalism and Citizen Journalism. We made two videos..... as usual.

The first was to illustrate Spinning. So we decided to.... let's spin a tale about our lecturer!!!! getting cozy with Paris Hilton! Haha, we had to source through all his photos to get the right angle. Credit goes to bao for mastering the blending function of photoshop. Haha, she's getting really good at it, as seen from our stompaids poster.


Second video is about a few unpaid actresses attending a Citizen Journalist Boot Camp! We were trying to teach the class certain aspects of how to be a good citizen journalist. Haha, So bao and i pretended to quarrel, or maybe we weren't? We wanted to minic the HK bus uncle story. What i thought was interesting was that this video included two other classmates, they were not the typical group mates that i'm usually with, but they were really easy to work with. I was glad that they were gamed enough to participate in this video.

Shu sent me this video, I dunno about your but that vid scares me man. Speaking of smoking, have you guys seen HPB's new anti smoking ad? Woah, can i say that they are getting more daring? At first, i was shocked that they allowed the Nus, and even my grp's Stompaid posters. But this... woahh..
I think this ad worked. OK, it raise abit of controversy, which means half a battle won. Some smoker said that they were scared/shocked by this ad, but they still wouldn't quit. True, what will get people to quit?? Anyway, what i thought was more important was that it helped deter future smokers? especially the children?

Did anyone get tricked??

I did, yes i got tricked, i didn't do the tricking. I can't believe i got tricked. Damn... there goes my reputation. Sighhhh...

So, i woke up to the sound of my new Hp. Haha, excited lah, first call! Then jude spinned a tail, crying and explaining... Shan't give your the details, but boy did i wake up man. Anyway, being the good actress that she is, and the sleepy toot that i was...she asked what's today's date.. "ermm April 2nd?".. *OK last night i saw my phone and it was 1st april, so i thought it was the next day already*. And she burst loud "Happy April Fool!".

Woah, i've never been happier knowing that i was tricked.

I must say that was a trick well done, i think she accumulated all the years of me tricking her into this prank and gave it back to me. *oh my heart....*

Oh well, i shall get a new bag of tricks then...
