day 2
was spent visiting the chuchi tunnels. It's the underground tunnel the viet kong armies used to fight the north and the americans. So basically, it was a guerilla warfare... really smart things they did. Let me explain.

Ok so you look at the picture closely, you can see different rooms. Yup, during the war, they had to conduct all their activities underground including cooking... yup, will show you how they did it later. Anyway, they had rooms for meeting, sleeping, and the tunnels which were pretty small. Plus trapdoors and traps in the tunnels. Really amazing. Also an escape route that led to the river.. smart, unless you can't swim.

So the red section is part of base camp of the vietkongs and the small blue thing is the american basecamp, but the tunnels are huge, as i mentioned, it spreads all the way to the north. woah..

listening to the talk, ahaha they played some video for us to watch. Oh my gosh, it's really propaganda... ahaha. Like, "the gentle little schoolgirl, fought in the army to revenge for her father. The gentle little schoolgirl runs through the trenches, the gentle schoolgirl aimed at the enemy and the gentle schoolgirl revenged for her father" hahaa, the propaganda techniques used was so obvious. ahah kinda interesting.

a pile of leaves, now you see it.

now you don't, you see the trap!!
