day 2 (continue)

so after the breifing, we went on to see the entry lid? The opening of the tunnel? Yup, it's really small, so that the viet can enter in but not the americans. But there's a technique to it.

You've got to lift your arms up, then slid in. My dad decided to be sporting and tried it too.

So you know in a war, people try and make use to the surrounding and the environment to survive. ahhaha you should see the shoes that the viet kongs used. No boots, sandals. Which makes sense, especially in a jungle warfare. So, using rubber tyres.

Presenting the viets with a sense of humour.

I laughed when i saw the last shoe.. anyway, we bought one of those sandals. haha, my bro says he's going to use tt when he washes the car. Tsk, as if he washes the car. Anyway, the small ones are really cute. It's like watching the fairytale.. the shoemaker?

So we went into the cu chi tunnels. It used to be smaller, but they made it bigger, now tt it's a tourist attraction.

It was really dark, like seriously dark. There were these orange lights on the way, but still, it was really dark. I was in front, so had to feel my way through. Coz sometimes it goes up, then it goes down. Damn tiring, we had to crawl or duckwalk our way through, some parts became narrower.

Our victory smile, aftering completing the tunnels.

And my mum pretending that she crawled through the tunnel as well. haha

So remember i told you about the kitchen in the tunnel? So the smoke comes out like 100 meters away from the kitchen. So the enemy would have a hard time finding the kitchen, 100 meters radius and guerilla warfare?? hmmm..

More traps.

So they let us try some war food. Tapioca with peanut dip. Man, i wouldn't survive th e war with that food. It's so hard to eat.

I thought this was funny. This is one of those wine, haha, but why must they place a cobra biting a snake? ahaha.

So went to some lacquer factory, admired the art and spent the rest of the time ...resting.

Checked into a beach front hotel. With the funniest name ever... Sammy Hot. Hahah we were semi hot for a night. So lamee...
