so monday was a mad frenzy to set up everything. Bao called me in the early morning and told me of a place where i can buy dry ice and said it was near my place. So using my sexy *cough cough* morning voice, i told her to send me the address. 170 stirling road, hmm that sounds familiar. So i checked out the street directory and it's right behind my house. Sneaky suspicion, i have stayed here for over 9 years, i don't rem a dry ice factory behind my house. So drove there, low and behold, it was the provision shop, not the one i frequent but for the first time, i see a sign there that said " Dry Ice". haha what a way to start of the morning, I went into the shop and expressed my utter shock. haha

Anyway, drove down to school, the guys unloaded the drum sets and Ms off my van, and set up everything. Hmm, crowd took awhile to come but they did eventually, thanks to my band. Anyway, it was really irritating that the student care service kept complaining coz others were reporting. Asking us to compromise, argh whatever lah. The last time we had exams, they made so much noise too.

Anyway, most pple said it went pretty well, but i was quite disappointed with the turn out. Too little, HPB judges were down, yah, and May and Choy were down too. Played some games with them, and lucky draw and ended off with my band.

I was pretty happy with the signing on the banner part, we left the banner there for people to sign and they did, even after our event. So i was really happy, coz it shows that we have made awareness. Part of the judging criteria. Yup, i thought our ambient was good, created quite alot of crowd, people wanting to take photos with the props. i wish i had the photos, but soon, after tom. And the dry ice made the effects really nice. Freaked a few people out.

So, stayed back and evaluated on how to improve on our event and decided to add more stuff and publicity coz our games were good. Our emcees were good, thought they emphasized and made all the points. Very smooth and handled it well. So good job! Decided to add heart and words into the pond, stayed back in school to make that and decided that i could make use of the excess vinyl stickers to make an arrow and the timing. So did that, stayed back in school till 1030 lydat? yup, then drove down to pick my bro up, and went for dinner/supper.

Yup, came home and decided to use the extra styrofoams to make a coffin. Yup, you've guessed it, another blister on my thumb and it was really difficult to cut this one, will upload the pictures when i get it. John said that i should be an expert styrofoam cutter by now. haha

Completed the tomb till 5am, cleaned up everything and went to bed, too tired.

Woke up at 10? decided to sleep in more

Today
Woke up and went behind to buy dry ice, should have ordered earlier. They had to take it from another supplier, so ended up having breakfast before going down to school. Did some last minute stuff and we decided to start the concert later to cater to the lunch crowd who need to buy some food first.

Today's crowd was slower than yesterday, in fact, very few stayed, lots of people walked past. Couldn't pin point why, but its ok. I think our emcees did a great job in spreading the message. I wish i was that smooth. Anyway, the advertising judges came down today. Explained to them what happened yesterday, dunno what they were thinking but they were really nice and said they liked our backdrop and it was good. That was encouraging and something i am willing to believe even though it wasn't awesome. ahah denial. Anyway, shuan asked when we were graduating and told us to give him a call when we were free. So i thought that was really encouraging, i mean, one of the purpose of joining this com was to get that internship and this into our CVs, oh and to spread the anti-aids message too. ahah

So, wasn't as worried as yesterday. Coz i think i really put in alot of effort already, plus, i was so tired, i just wanted to sleep.

So, i hope tom will be better, please. We've got our band and great games and too much prizes. haha I'm tired, but i'm going to go all out for tom.
